Dubai (TDI): Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to deepen cooperation in the fields of digital governance, artificial intelligence, and data innovation, marking a new phase of bilateral collaboration aimed at advancing technological growth and cross-border investment.
On the sidelines of GITEX 2025, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima Khawaja met with Omar Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
The two officials discussed a broad range of initiatives, including AI-driven innovation, digital infrastructure development, and startup ecosystem strengthening.
Minister Shaza Fatima also met Massimo Falcioni, Chief Competitiveness Officer at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.
The meeting focused on expanding UAE–Pakistan collaboration in digital investment, fostering innovation, and exploring opportunities for cross-border technology partnerships.

Additionally, the Federal Minister met Muneeb Anjum, CEO of AHAD, for an in-depth discussion on advancing Pakistan’s cybersecurity landscape.
The dialogue emphasized building digital trust, implementing robust security solutions, and enhancing public-private partnerships to strengthen national cyber resilience and the innovation ecosystem.
