Islamabad (TDI): Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting.
The two leaders discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz welcomed Turkmenistan’s participation in the SCO CHG meeting as a ‘Special Guest’ and reaffirmed the strong, historic ties between the two countries.
He conveyed warm regards to the Turkmen leadership and emphasized the importance of increasing high-level exchanges.

The Prime Minister highlighted the need for both nations to work together to fully explore the potential of cooperation, particularly in trade, energy, and regional connectivity.
Meredov congratulated Pakistan on the successful organization of the SCO CHG meeting and conveyed the best wishes of Turkmenistan’s leadership.
