Islamabad (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The two leaders strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing atrocities in Gaza and expressed serious concern over the exacerbating humanitarian catastrophe, including starvation, forced displacement, and loss of innocent lives.
They called for unhindered humanitarian assistance, an immediate ceasefire, and united global efforts for a just, enduring and comprehensive peace.
They also hoped the UN-hosted international conference on the two-state solution, scheduled for today, would yield meaningful progress.

In the latest escalation, Gaza’s civil defense agency reported that Israeli forces killed 27 Palestinians, including 12 people near food distribution centers.
The deadly strikes highlight the dire conditions in the besieged enclave, where hunger and insecurity are spreading rapidly.
In response to growing international pressure, Israeli authorities on Sunday initiated a temporary and limited “tactical pause” in some areas to allow humanitarian operations to resume.

Aid efforts have also seen support from Jordan and the UAE, which carried out food airdrops to assist civilians caught in the crisis.
UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher welcomed the pause, stating, “Our teams on the ground are mobilizing to reach as many people as possible in this limited window. Every moment counts in saving lives.”
