Islamabad (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan on Thursday expressed deep concern over continued Israeli military actions in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, as well as repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two foreign ministers discussed the latest regional and international developments during a telephone conversation, with particular focus on the situation in Palestine.
“Both foreign ministers expressed deep concern over the continued Israeli military actions in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank, repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem, and the worsening humanitarian situation,” the ministry said.
Dar and Fidan reaffirmed their unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and discussed Jordan’s proposal to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to coordinate diplomatic efforts in support of Palestine.

The talks came amid continued Israeli military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, alongside reports of Israeli settler violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and expanding settlements in the West Bank.
The development follows similar discussions between Dar and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty a day earlier, during which the two sides expressed grave concern over the situation in the Palestinian territories and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and unhindered humanitarian assistance.
Meanwhile, fresh Israeli attacks in Gaza reportedly killed three Palestinians and injured 20 others on Thursday, according to medical sources.
In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and 16 others, including children, were wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting civilians in the Al-Majayda area of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
In northern Gaza, another Palestinian was killed and three others, including two children, were injured after an Israeli drone struck a group of civilians in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal neighbourhood.
