Kabul, 23 August 2021 (TDI): An extensive meeting was held regarding the cooperation of the UN in Afghanistan. In the meeting Ambassador Sadiq, the Special Representative of Pakistan to Afghanistan, Julien Harneis, the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, and the UN team working in Afghanistan were present.
It was affirmed and assured that Pakistan would continue to support and assist the people of Afghanistan who are suffering for two decades. It was decided to provide humanitarian assistance and support in these difficult times. The supply of food and medicines was given prime importance. During the meeting, it was noted that Afghanistan needs Pakistan’s support the most and Pakistan would extend its cooperation to those who are in need in the war-torn country.
