Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari extended warm greetings to the people and leadership of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the country’s 34th Independence Day.
In his message, President Zardari highlighted the significance of December 16, 1991, when Kazakhstan adopted the Law on Independence and State Sovereignty, marking a pivotal step in its emergence as a modern and forward-looking nation.
He also paid tribute to the 1986 Zheltoksan protests in Almaty, where Kazakh youth stood against Soviet policies, symbolizing the nation’s enduring quest for freedom.
“Pakistan and Kazakhstan share a long-standing friendship founded on common values and mutual respect,” the President said.

He expressed appreciation for Kazakhstan’s consistent support in international forums, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
President Zardari noted that bilateral cooperation continues to grow, particularly in trade, energy, and regional connectivity, with new opportunities arising through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He conveyed his best wishes to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan for ongoing peace, stability, and prosperity.
