Islamabad (TDI): Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, held a meeting with a delegation from the South Korean organization Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) on Friday. The delegation was led by Kim Joonyun, Chief Branch Manager of HWPL’s Global10 Branch.
Talks centered on HWPL’s Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War and the organization’s global initiatives promoting peace and humanitarian service. The delegation also highlighted relief activities in flood-affected areas of Pakistan and voiced concern over the humanitarian crises in IIOJK, Palestine, and Ukraine.
The minister apprised the delegation that Pakistan has sacrificed thousands of lives in the war on terror. He underscored that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and national leadership are committed to steering the country toward sustainable peace and development. He also paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and citizens for their firm resolve in countering India’s provocations and safeguarding national sovereignty.

Highlighting ongoing flood relief operations in Punjab, Shah stated that under the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, multiple initiatives are underway to ensure timely distribution of relief packages to affected families. He added that the Government of Punjab is also actively engaged in the rehabilitation of flood victims.

On the occasion, former Minister of State Hamid Hameed and Member National Assembly Naveed Aamir Jeeva were also present. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation for the promotion of global peace, humanitarian service, and social safety, ensuring that dialogue and mutual understanding continue to pave the way for a more peaceful world.
