Islamabad urges upholding the sanctity and historical status of the holy sites, and preventing Israel from any further provocations,” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Pakistan also strongly criticized the continued targeting of Palestinians in Gaza by Israel.
The latest brutal strike on a school sheltering displaced families in Gaza was an example of continued Israeli barbarity, it said.
