Pakistan sent humanitarian relief to Afghanistan

Islamabad, 20 September 2021 (TDI): the government of Pakistan has initiated the supply of humanitarian relief to Afghanistan on large scale. Pakistan has set a Pakistan-Afghanistan cooperation forum for this purpose. It has delivered food items to Afghanistan loaded in thirteen trucks via the Torkham land border.
Pakistan continues to help the people of Afghanistan at this pivotal juncture to prevent the country from anticipating a humanitarian crisis. It also asks the international community to show solidarity and support to Afghans and to provide them with humanitarian assistance.
Pakistan has already delivered four consignments of relief goods containing food and medicines through the air route to Afghanistan. The first of these consignments were delivered to Kabul on September 9 2021 through aircraft C130. While the second consignment reached Kandahar on 10th September, and the third reached Khost on 11th September. The fourth consignment of relief goods reached Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan on 12 September.
