Islamabad, 12 July 2023 (TDI): A pre-departure session was held for the 192 Erasmus Mundus scholarship awardees.
This event was organized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan earlier today to honor the awardees who are set to leave for different European countries to study under the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.
Erasmus Mundus is a merit-based scholarship provided to master’s and doctoral students around the world. Due to its competitive nature, it has earned a reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious and sought-after scholarships.
This scholarship allows students to study at various universities in two or more European countries.
Pakistani students secured the highest number of scholarships around the world, reflecting the exceptional academic talent and potential present in the country.

Dr. Shaista Sohail, Executive Director of HEC, was present at the event as a chief guest. The Chargé d’Affaires of the Delegation of the European Union in Pakistan, Thomas Seiler, also participated in the event to congratulate the students.
