Islamabad (TDI): Ambassador Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, undertook a day-long visit to Pakistan last week to engage in high-level discussions with senior officials on matters of mutual interest, particularly Afghanistan.
As part of his visit, Ambassador Kabulov met with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch at the Foreign Office, where the two held wide-ranging talks.
Later, he also participated in detailed consultations with Additional Secretary for Afghanistan and West Asia, Ambassador Ahmad Naseem Warraich.
The Foreign Office spokesperson noted that the discussions revolved around the evolving situation in Afghanistan and the state of bilateral relations.

Both sides exchanged views on regional dynamics, stressing the significance of collaborative efforts among neighboring countries to address the challenges faced by Afghanistan.
Ambassador Kabulov and his Pakistani counterparts reaffirmed the importance of coordinated regional approaches to foster peace, stability, and economic prosperity in Afghanistan.
They also emphasized the need for enhanced dialogue and cooperation to address pressing issues, including violence, humanitarian challenges, and efforts to promote political reconciliation in the war-torn country.
