Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan on Friday announced that it was open to receiving its stranded nationals through the Wagah border in case the Indian authorities allow them to cross the point from their side.
Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan stated that the Wagah border will remain open for Pakistani national in the future as well.
In response to media questions about the crossing’s availability for Pakistanis returning from India, he said that India’s decision to revoke visas of Pakistani citizens is causing significant humanitarian difficulties.
He noted that several patients were forced to return to Pakistan without completing their medical treatment, and there are also reports of families being divided and children separated from one of their parents.

He added that the last date to travel via Wagah border was April 30, 2025.
In this context, he acknowledged media reports indicating that some Pakistani citizens are currently stranded at Attari.

“We are ready to receive our nationals if the Indian government permits them to cross from their side. The Wagha border will continue to remain open for Pakistani nationals in the future as well,” the spokesperson added.
