Islamabad, 9 September 2021 (TDI): The Pakistan Navy stated that it conducted trilateral maritime drills with the US and Germany in the north of the Arabian Sea. Pakistan Navy Frigate PNS Alamgir (F 260) along with the American Ship USS SHILOH and German Navy Ship FGS BAYERN participated in the maritime passing exercise (PASSEX).
The Pakistan Navy said that the purpose of the drills was to provide the participating navies with an opportunity to enhance interoperability and mutual learning. Such exercises would also help in strengthening Navy to Navy relations. The Pak Navy Ship Alamgir also had participated separately with the US Navy Ship before this exercise.
Pak Navy further made mention of its commitment toward maintaining peace and security of the region of the Indian Ocean.
