Kuwait City (TDI): Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik held a high-level meeting with Tariq Sulaiman Al-Roumi, Minister of Oil of Kuwait, to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the petroleum sector.
During the meeting, the Minister said that relationship between both countries is rooted in mutual respect, trust, and decades-long cooperation, especially in petroleum sector.
Both sides reviewed the longstanding and friendly cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait in the petroleum sector. Various areas of mutual cooperation were explored, with an emphasis on enhancing existing partnerships and identifying new avenues for collaboration across the petroleum sector.

They reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties and agreed to continue close coordination to advance shared objectives in the petroleum sectors, building on the strong foundation of cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), the CEO of KUFPEC, and senior management teams from both sides.

The Pakistani delegation included Ahmed Hayat Lak, Managing Director of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), and the General Manager (Supplies) of Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
Tariq Sulaiman Al-Roumi hosted a lunch in honour of the visiting Pakistani delegation at Waldorf Astoria subsequent to the meeting
