AlUla (TDI): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Iran’s Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance, Dr. Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, on the sidelines of the AlUla Conference 2026 for Emerging Market Economies.

The meeting centered on ways to expand bilateral trade and deepen economic cooperation between Pakistan and Iran. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment, guided by the vision and directives of the leadership of the two countries, to increasing the volume of trade and strengthening long-term economic engagement.

The two ministers stressed the need for continued dialogue, improved trade facilitation and the removal of existing bottlenecks to unlock the full potential of bilateral commerce.

During the discussion, the Iranian side highlighted several sector-specific opportunities for investment and market collaboration, aimed at deepening economic ties and generating mutually beneficial outcomes. Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed these proposals.

The Iranian Minister also extended an invitation to Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb to visit Iran, which the Finance Minister reciprocated by inviting him to visit Islamabad.
