Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is presidoing over the 23rd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government today at the Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad.
The high-profile event is attended by leaders and representatives from SCO member states and will be a key platform for discussing regional cooperation, trade, energy, and security.
Moreover, upon arrival at the venue, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has officially welcomed the SCO Heads of Government. The opening ceremony, including the Prime Minister’s address and the delivery of Pakistan’s National Statement.
In his address, the Prime Minister has highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and economic growth in the region.
He has also emphasize the importance of strengthening partnerships among SCO member countries to tackle regional challenges and enhance collaboration in areas such as trade, connectivity, and energy cooperation.
A bilateral meeting between Pakistan’s Prime Minister and the Russian Prime Minister, expects on the sideline of the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting.
