Pakistan High Commissioner meets Pakistani Community in Canada

Vancouver, 16 November 2021 (TDI): Ameer Khurram Rathore, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Canada took a trip to Vancouver in November’s second week.

During this visit, the High Commissioner interacted with the Pakistani Society. The interaction was on a cultural level. He explained the efforts made by the Pakistani government to facilitate them.

He briefed the Pakistani community over the Roshan Digital Account and about the Housing scheme. The High Commissioner talked about the procedure of online visas and attestations. Furthermore, he also explained about the establishment of Prime Minister’s and Foreign Minister Portals by the Pakistani government. These portals will assist the Pakistani community living abroad.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan had a meeting with the leading members of the Sikh community as well. He briefed them about the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s efforts in expanding facilities for Sikh Pilgrimage in accordance with the Kartarpur Corridor.

The goal of the High Commissioner’s visit was to educate the Pakistani community in Canada on the new policies made by the Pakistani Government for their facilitation; to make them aware of the new portals and about their significance and effectiveness. The government of Pakistan is making a positive effort by expanding its support to the Sikh Community in Vancouver.
