Kathmandu (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal inaugurated the “Pakistan-Nepal Children Park” in Budhanilkantha Municipality, Kathmandu on June 27, 2025. Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar Hashmi, was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
Ambassador Hashmi in his remarks stated that the park is a “gift from the children and people of Pakistan” to the children of the Gulftar community.
He also acknowledged and appreciated the partnership with Budhanilkantha Municipality as well as the Embassy team in upgrading the park with a new play station, swings, and a walking track.

According to a statement by the Pakistan Embassy in Nepal on Facebook, “He appreciated the Embassy team for putting in a lot of efforts with executing partner HRS Adventures in upgrading the children’s Park.
The park is fixed with new multi-play station, se-saw, swings, marry-go on soft mats, and walking track turning it into a welcoming space for all ages.”
Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality, Mitharam Adhikari, along with other local members and leaders including Binod Thapa, Hira Prasad Gupta Ram Prasad Upadhaya, Siromani Sharma, media representatives, and Embassy officials were also present at the inauguration.
This is the third project on a park in Kathmandu Valley that the Embassy developed in collaboration with the Kathmandu and Budhanilkantha Municipality in the last three years, which aims at creating inclusive public spaces for all.
Local community thanked the Embassy and Municipality for the renovation and expressed hope that the park continues to symbolize the evergreen friendship between Pakistan and Nepal.
Members also said that the renovated parks offer a safe and happy environment for children, families and the elderly.
Mayor Adhikari and other special guests thanked the Government and people of Pakistan for this generous gift.
