Islamabad, 9 October 2021 (TDI): On the occasion of the 59th Independence of Uganda, the Foreign Office of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan congratulated the people and Government of Uganda.
Today, on 9 October 2021, the State of Uganda celebrates its 59th Independence Day. The country got independence from the United Kingdom in 1962. Since then, the government and the people of Uganda have celebrated 9 October as their Independence Day and public holiday.

Uganda is one of the rare countries with a culturally, linguistically, and religiously diverse population living together for the past 59 years.
Uganda, since its independence, has shared cordial relations with Pakistan. On the occasion of the National Day of Uganda, both countries wills to further strengthen their ties.
