People of both countries take interest in knowing each other’s customs, intellectual traditions, languages, and lifestyles. Many Chinese universities have Urdu departments which offer Urdu language courses just like the Chinese learning centers and courses in Pakistani universities.
Since the start of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, these language departments as well as the research and study centers have been established as priority initiatives.
Pakistan’s Embassy in Beijing provides a list of Pakistan study and research centers on its website and notes, “With their commitment and dedication to projecting Pakistan in China, these centers continue to publish a wide array of scholarly literature, including articles, books and magazines to offer invaluable insights into the unique socio-economic and cultural landscape of Pakistan.”

These centers are based in top Chinese universities of science and technology, politics and law, social sciences, arts, international studies, and universities which offer a range of subjects.
Academic collaborations between China and Pakistan go back a long way. The perspective has shifted among Pakistani higher education students who now increasingly choose China as their study destination, for postgraduate and doctoral studies.
