Pakistan Davis Cup Juniors Arrive in Kazakhstan for Final Qualifiers

Shymkent (TDI): The Pakistan Davis Cup Juniors team has arrived in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, ahead of the Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying Event, scheduled from May 19 to May 24.

The team earned its spot in the prestigious tournament by winning the qualifying event in Kuching, Malaysia in March.

The squad includes players Abubakareel Ali Baig and Hamza Roman with Shahzad Khan serving as the team captain.

Captain Shahzad Khan expressed confidence in his team’s abilities, saying, “Our players are fully prepared and fit. We are hopeful about exhibiting the outstanding performance we delivered in Kuching.”

President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, wished the team success, stating that this team is a strong combination of talent and dedication. They performed very well in Kuching, and Inshaa Allah they will continue that momentum in Shymkent.

Secretary General of the PTF, Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail, also expressed his support, stating “Good luck to our boys. Play with heart and the results will naturally follow.”

The event includes some of the best junior tennis talent from across Asia and Oceania.
