Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan has strongly condemned the US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, following a series of Israeli attacks targeting similar sites for more than a week.
“We view this escalation, which has also claimed civilian lives and damaged critical infrastructure, with grave concern,” a statement by the Foreign Office said.
“These actions flagrantly violate the norms of international law, particularly those enshrined in the UN Charter and International Humanitarian Law,” it added.

The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan believes in diplomacy, dialogue, and peaceful negotiation—rooted in the principles of the UN Charter, and that it also believes that this is the only way to “defuse the crisis.”
“We urge all parties involved to immediately cease hostilities and pursue engagement through established diplomatic channels. The ongoing cycle of retaliations undermines regional security frameworks and exacerbates humanitarian fallout,” said the FO.
FO further stressed the importance of avoiding harm to non‑combatants and upholding the sanctity of civilian lives and property noting; “International Humanitarian Law demands rigorous adherence, especially in contexts involving heavy attacks on nuclear infrastructure.”

In concluding remarks, Pakistan’s FO called on the international community—particularly the UN Security Council, IAEA, and other multilateral forums—to intervene decisively.
“We must halt the spiral of violence, prevent a full-scale regional war, and uphold the rule of law. The path forward lies in restraint, de‑escalation, and a recommitment to diplomacy,” it said.
