Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Gaza Aid Blockade

Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid to Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan (MOFA) described the move as part of a “systematic campaign” by Israel to deny essential aid to millions of Palestinians who are facing dire humanitarian conditions.

It said that such actions not only exacerbate the sufferings of civilians but also represent a blatant violation of international law.

It expressed deep concerns over the implications of Israel’s decision, warning that it could undermine the fragile ceasefire agreement in the region.

The statement underlined the urgency of confirming unrestricted access of aid to Gaza, where millions of civilians, including women and children, are in desperate need of food, medical supplies, and other basic necessities.

Pakistan urged the international community to intervene and hold Israel accountable for what it terms the ”imposition of collective punishment” on the Palestinian people.

Moreover, the statement also stressed Pakistan’s longstanding position on the Palestinian cause, urging the complete implementation of agreements to secure a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

Pakistan also focused on the need for the revival of a credible political process to achieve a two-state solution, which it described as the only viable path to lasting peace in the region.

The statement emphasized Pakistan’s support for the establishment of a sovereign and independent State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds Al-Sharif) as its capital.

Pakistan’s stance also indicates its constant solidarity with the Palestinian people and its commitment to upholding the principles of justice, human rights, and international law.

It also highlighted the broader implications of the humanitarian crises in Gaza, warning that the denial of aid could further destabilize the region and undermine efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the decades-long conflict.
