Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan has expressed deep concern over recent proposals suggesting the Gaza displacement of Palestinian residents, labelling such ideas as deeply troubling and unjust.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Palestinian territories rightfully belong to the Palestinian people and reaffirmed that the only viable and just solution is the establishment of two sovereign states, as outlined in United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The official statement reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, advocating for the creation of an independent and contiguous Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The Ministry stated that any attempts to forcibly relocate Palestinians or continue illegal settlements would constitute blatant violations of international law and jeopardize regional peace and security.
Pakistan also called for the return of all displaced Palestinians to their homes, including those in Gaza, and urged the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied territories.
The statement highlighted the necessity of increasing humanitarian assistance and removing obstacles hindering aid delivery. Furthermore, Pakistan emphasized the importance of concerted international efforts for the prompt reconstruction of Gaza.
