Islamabad, 10 December 2022 (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of International Human Rights Day said that the government of Pakistan will continue its work for justice, equality, dignity, and human rights for all.

The government of Pakistan on Human Rights Day reaffirmed its commitment to adopting a strategy centered on human rights in addressing the growing humanitarian needs and in enhancing our response to human rights violations, Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister urged that it is imperative to take a closer look at the human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and Palestine.
He further expressed Pakistan’s commitment to continue extending its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in achieving the legitimate right of self-determination.

Prime Minister stressed the international community to work together to realize a society devoid of inequality and injustice, guided by the 2030 principle agenda for sustainable development.
Besides that, Prime Minister made a statement that the world needs to renew its political will on Human Right Day today.
President of Pakistan’s Statement
In light of this year’s theme, Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for everyone, President Arif Alvi encouraged every Pakistani not to forget their civic responsibilities and never compromise on their fundamental rights.

He said that the constitution of Pakistan reflects the values enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 10th December 1948, President House released a statement.
President Arif Alvi on the occasion said that we must not forget the autocracies and injustice committed by India in IIOJ&K. He urged United Nations and the international community to play their role in addressing the human rights situation in Kashmir.
Foreign Minister’s Statement
In a statement released by Foreign Office, Foreign Minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm advocation for the right of self-determination of the people of Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir.
Foreign Minister said that Pakistan joins the international community in commemorating the 74th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The international community must join hands to bring an end to the suppression and violation of the human rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Foreign Minister added.
He also pointed out Pakistan’s consistent contributions including global efforts at the UN human rights bodies to advance the idea of human dignity, freedom, and justice for all.
