Pakistan-China to boost investment in Pakistan

Islamabad, 14 September 2021 (TDI): Pakistan Prime Minister met with a delegation encompassing dignitaries of Chinese companies along with Federal Ministers Asad Umar, Hammad Azhar, Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Shaukat Tareen. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong also took part in the meeting.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Chinese investment is of great importance to Pakistan as it would create job opportunities for Pakistanis. The Chinese companies can have a crucial role in developing small and medium industries of Pakistan.

Imran Khan also assured every possible cooperation for Chinese companies to invest in the country. He added that Pakistan can learn a lot from Chinese entrepreneurs in the development of industrial spheres and economic zones. Khan said that the government is trying to create incentives for investors by improving the business environment of Pakistan. Nong Rong, the Chinese Ambassador, expressed keen interest in deepening cooperation with Pakistan to achieve better results in trade. Nong Rong also tweeted and appreciated the Pakistan government for embracing Chinese investment in Pakistan.
