Kunming (TDI): Luo Zhaohui, Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), held a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, in Kunming, China.
The meeting took place on the margins of the Third China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Blue Economy Cooperation, which Ahsan Iqbal attended as part of his official visit to China.
The meeting was also attended by Li Ming, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, Shou Hailong, Director-General of CIDCA’s Department of Regional Affairs I; Yang Shaocheng, Director of Yunnan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Humair, and Special Secretary of Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Luo expressed gratitude to Pakistan for consistently sending high-level delegations to China for three consecutive years to attend the event.

He stressed the close contact between the two nations’ leaderships and the notable consensus reached.
Luo stated that CIDCA is committed to working with Pakistan to implement these important deals, actively promote the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), implement the Global Development Initiative, and strengthen Pakistan-China development cooperation, thereby benefiting both nations.
Ahsan Iqbal thanked China for providing a platform for regional nations to exchange experiences and collaborate.
He also appreciated China’s leadership in advancing the development of the blue economy.
He affirmed Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening development cooperation with Beijing in various fields under the frameworks of the BRI and GDI, with the common goal of building a closer Pakistan-China community with a shared future in the new era.

Following the meeting, Director Luo Zhaohui and Minister Ahsan Iqbal inked cooperation documents, including those related to the implementation of Pakistan’s Climate Information and Early Warning System Project.
