Banjul, 6 May 2024(TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a bilateral meeting with Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China Zheng Jianbang outside the 15th Islamic Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference held in Banjul, Gambia.
Meanwhile, the two countries’ leaders further discussed the issue of developing deep friendship and relations between Pakistan and China.
They explored avenues to enhance cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure development, and people-to-people exchanges.
Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with China, emphasising the importance of sustained collaboration for mutual benefit.
Pakistan and China expressed their commitment to improving cooperation to complete all CPEC projects and achieve common goals.
Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Deputy Speaker of the Pakistan Parliament gave information about this decision.
The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 15th Organization of Islamic Cooperation Islamic Summit held in July.
The two sides reaffirmed the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China. They exchanged views on deepening exchanges between the Parliament of Pakistan and the National People’s Congress of China.
They also discussed China’s growing relationship with the OIC and underlined the importance of dialogue and understanding for mutual peace and prosperity.
Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support of China’s strategic issues and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties through diplomatic work and cooperation.
Vice President Zheng Jianbang reaffirmed China’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s development priorities and expressed willingness to deepen cooperation in various fields.
Moreover, China’s support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and development.

Vice President Zheng Jianbang emphasized the shared goal of promoting stability and prosperity in the region through constructive engagement.
