Pakistan, China Discuss Afghan Stability

Islamabad (TDI): Chinese Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs, Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, held a series of in-depth discussions with Pakistani officials on Monday.

The meetings, which took place at the Foreign Office (FO), included a conversation with Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch.

They discussed the current state of relations and regional dynamics.

Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong also held a meeting with Additional Foreign Secretary (Afghanistan and West Asia) Ambassador Ahmad Naseem Warraich.

They exchanged detailed perspectives on the current state of relations with Afghanistan.

Both parties reaffirmed the importance of coordinated efforts by neighboring countries to contribute to a peaceful and stable Afghanistan.

The discussions highlighted mutual concerns and emphasized the role of regional cooperation in promoting stability in the region, with a particular focus on Afghanistan.

They agreed that a united regional approach is essential to address the complex challenges facing the country, including the prevention of violence and the promotion of political reconciliation.
