MOQI (TDI): Pakistan overpowered China 5-1 to qualify for the semifinal of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy at the Moqi Hockey Training Base on Thursday.
The Green Shirts dominated the game from the start. They took a 3-0 lead in the first three quarters and added two more goals in the final quarter while conceding only one.

Hannan Shahid and Nadeem Ahmed starred for Pakistan with goals each, while Abdul Rahman scored the other.
For China, GAO Jiesheng scored the lone goal in the fourth quarter.

This is Pakistan’s second consecutive win in the tournament. They had defeated Japan 2-1 in the previous game on Wednesday. The first two games against Malaysia and Korea had ended in 2-2 draws.
The national hockey team will play their final pool match against formidable India who have remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.
