Beijing (TDI): The Fifth Round of Pakistan-China Consultations on Multilateral Issues was held on Thursday, June 26 in Beijing, where both countries exchanged their views on a number of issues relating to regional and international security
Pakistan and China reaffirmed their commitment to the United Nations and also expressed satisfaction at the strong convergence of views on all issues of mutual concern.
The Pakistani delegation was led by the Special Secretary (UN), Ambassador Nabeel Munir meanwhile the Chinese delegation was led by the Director General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences Shen Bo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

According to the official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on X:
“Separately, the Special Secretary (UN), Ambassador Nabeel Munir also held a meeting with the Vice Foreign Minister, Miao Deyu, on the sideline of the consultations. Recalling the unparalleled Pakistan-China strategic partnership, the two sides expressed their desire to continue working together to take the historic relations between the two countries to new heights”.

The Fifth Round of Pakistan-China Consultations is a high level diplomatic platform that is focused at advancing cooperation in global multilateral institutions with special focus on United Nations matters, especially peace, security and reforms on the Security Council agenda.
The friendship between Pakistan and China which is often referred as ‘iron brothers’ continues to grow through bilateral, regional and global strategic cooperation. These consultations reflect the mutual desire to cooperate for global peace, stability and development.
