Ottawa (TDI): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Muhammad Saleem, held discussions with senior officials of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) on Wednesday to explore avenues for cooperation in healthcare education and professional development.

During his visit to the RCPSC, the high commissioner met with Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer Craig Ceppetelli.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in postgraduate medical education, specialist training, and accreditation systems aimed at enhancing healthcare capacity.

Both sides exchanged views on building institutional linkages between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, with an emphasis on knowledge sharing and professional standards.

Muhammad Saleem also briefed RCPSC officials about Pakistan’s upcoming International Medical Education Conference, scheduled to take place in Karachi in February 2026, and highlighted opportunities for Canadian participation in the event.
