ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Pakistan has urged United Nation (UN) member states to promote Palestinian self-determination and reject any changes to the status of occupied territories.
This call was made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Munir Akram, during the 10th Resumed Emergency Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly (ESS) focused on the situation in Palestine.
Ambassador Akram emphasized the need for immediate action to address the ongoing injustices faced by the Palestinian people.
He advocated for the admission of the State of Palestine as a full member of the UN and called for the convening of an international conference to advance the two-state solution.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to the Palestinian cause, Ambassador Akram highlighted the country’s own history of achieving independence through self-determination, underscoring solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for freedom.
