Pakistan and Germany Celebrates Seventy Years of Diplomatic Relations

Germany's Ambassador to Pakistan, Bernhard Schlagheck giving Remarks at the Celebration Event of 70 years of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany .

Islamabad, 16 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan and Germany celebrated seventy years of cordial diplomatic relations yesterday.

Pakistan organized a live event to celebrate it under the title of DostiKay70Saal. Among others, the German Ambassador to Pakistan, Bernard Schlagheck also attended the event.

During the event, German Ambassador Bernard Schlagheck expressed his deepest gratitude to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for arranging the event. After the event, ambassador Schlagheck also remarked that he had a joyful time at the celebrations.

Both countries organized the event as per traditional values. Participants were dressed in the traditional dress of Pakistan-Shalwar Kameez and the traditional dress of Germany-Lederhosen.

To make the event memorable, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and ambassador Schlagheck also took pictures with the participants at the end of the event.

Both Pakistan and Germany established their bilateral diplomatic relations on 15 October 1951. Germany is Pakistan’s key trading partner in the EU, whereas Pakistan is among Germany’s key partners in Asia.
