Islamabad, 21 December 2023 (TDI): In the realm of virtual diplomacy, the first-ever Pakistan-Brunei Bilateral Consultation round takes place on Wednesday morning.
The session is co-chaired by the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan, Ambassador Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei, Pengiran Norhashimah Binti Pg Mohd Hassan.
During the Bilateral Consultation Round, both entities delve into comprehensive talks concerning bilateral relations, regional advancements, and multilateral matters of shared concern.

The Foreign Secretary emphasizes the enduring warmth and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Brunei, highlighting their longstanding relationship. He stresses Pakistan’s dedication to cultivating a comprehensive partnership with Brunei. This dedication focuses on various aspects, including trade, investment, and close cultural cooperation.
In actively encouraging collaboration, the Foreign Secretary invites Bruneian companies to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan. He also updates his counterpart on facilitative initiatives for foreign investment. During the discussion, he elaborates on the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
As the Bilateral Consultation Round draws to a close, both entities affirm their commitment to maintaining constructive and meaningful engagement, aiming to strengthen the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Brunei.
