Beijing (TDI): Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, had a meeting with Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan in Beijing, as the PM is on an official state visit to China following the SCO Summit that concluded on Monday.
Both leaders expressed their satisfaction on the ongoing cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan in all areas of mutual interest.
The two leaders agreed to enhance collaboration in diverse fields including trade and investment, connectivity, energy, regional security, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Tajikistan relations rooted in shared cultural, historical, and religious ties. They also shared perspectives on regional and global issues of common concern.
PM Sharif took a bullet train from Tianjin, where China hosted the SCO Summit, to Beijing where he met Chinese President Xi Jinping, along a delegation.
Beijing is hustling with world leaders as China is all set to hold the Grand Parade tomorrow. Leaders of Pakistan and Central Asian countries are also in the capital as state guests.
