Pakistan–Romania Business Council Meets Christian Pastor Amjad Farooq

Karachi (TDI): The Pakistan–Romania Business Council (PRBC) held a meeting with Pastor Amjad Farooq, a prominent Christian pastor and faith‑and‑prayer‑ministry leader based in Karachi.

The meeting reflects on “the Council’s commitment to fostering interfaith harmony, social cohesion, and inclusive economic development,” as per a media handout release by PRBC.

On behalf of the council, its Chairman – Sohail Shamim Firpo and Advisor and Chief Operating Officer – Atif Farooqi discussed avenues for community engagement, ethical business practices, and the role of values‑based leadership in strengthening Pakistan–Romania bilateral relations with Pastor Farooq.

“The participants emphasized the importance of multi‑faith dialogue and mutual respect among religious communities as a foundation for a stable and prosperous business environment,” the handout said.

They also explored opportunities for greater collaboration between civil‑society institutions, faith‑based organizations, and the private sector in both Pakistan and Romania.

“Meeting Pastor Amjad Farooq was both inspiring and humbling. His unwavering commitment to prayer, compassion, and service to the community reflects the kind of moral leadership that complements economic progress,” said Atif Farooqi, as he reflected on the meetings.

“As we build bridges between Pakistan and Romania, we are equally committed to building bridges between communities—where faith, fairness, and forward‑thinking business values go hand in hand,” he added.

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact for future joint initiatives that promote dialogue, entrepreneurship, and social uplift, especially among youth and underprivileged communities.

The Pakistan–Romania Business Council continues to serve as a strategic platform for enhancing trade, investment, and people‑to‑people ties between Pakistan and Romania, with a growing emphasis on inclusive, values‑driven development.
