ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, where the Amir warmly welcomed him along with his delegation.
A joint statement released on Friday says that the premier expressed gratitude for the warm reception and generous hospitality.
During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.
He appreciated Qatar’s ongoing support for Pakistan and highlighted investment opportunities in key economic areas.
The meeting focused on enhancing ties between the two brotherly nations, particularly in investment and trade, while also addressing cooperation in other fields.
Both sides discussed significant opportunities related to previous investment commitments and addressed key regional and global developments of mutual concern.
Sheikh Tamim emphasized the importance of the fraternal relationship between Qatar and Pakistan, expressing a shared aspiration to enhance economic partnerships, increase trade, and promote investments.

In a subsequent meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the two leaders explored avenues for collaboration in economy, trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged Qatar’s role in supporting Pakistan’s economic development and noted the contributions of the large Pakistani community in Qatar as a vital link between the two nations.
The Qatari leadership reaffirmed Pakistan’s significance as a strategic partner in the region and expressed a commitment to deepening bilateral economic ties for mutual benefit.
They discussed regional and global issues, underscoring the importance of peaceful resolutions and collaborative efforts to address current challenges.
