Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, on Monday, to discuss the situation in the region and the need for urgent diplomatic efforts for de-escalation.
According to an official statement, the two leaders exchanged views on the rapidly developing regional dynamics and expressed deep concern over the potential implications for security and stability in the wider region. Both sides emphasized the importance of restraint and constructive engagement at a time when tensions remain high.
During the conversation, Dar stressed the urgent need for de-escalation and underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective tools for resolving disputes.
He highlighted that peaceful engagement among concerned parties is essential to prevent further deterioration of the situation and to safeguard regional stability.

Dar also reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent position in favor of diplomatic solutions to conflicts, noting that sustainable peace can only be achieved through negotiations and mutual understanding.
He emphasized that escalating tensions not only threaten the immediate region but could also have broader implications for international peace and economic stability.
Jordan’s Foreign Minister Safadi shared similar concerns and underscored the importance of collective diplomatic efforts to address the situation responsibly.
