The organizers further told the press that 178 exhibitors are displaying their services and products this year at the exhibition; 150 of which are local companies working in the maritime industry while 28 international firms are showcasing their innovation and expertise.
“Moreover, 133 international delegations from Europe, Asia, North America, South America and the Far East including representatives from 44 countries such as United Kingdom, Italy, Iran, Turkiye, KSA, Australia, Egypt and China, will also attend the event,” Vice Admiral Abbasi added.
The exhibition floor will also feature pavilions of governments of Sindh and Balochistan province, as the country’s coastline is located in these two provinces and coastal development and tourism are of prime interest for respective provincial administrations.

Their pavilions will showcase “potential and investment opportunities in country’s maritime sector.” PIMEC will offer a great chance to foreign delegates, government officials, and maritime stakeholders to interact and forge lasting partnerships and investments.
In the curtain raiser briefing, the media was also told that the International Maritime Conference (IMC) will run in parallel; “a two-day event scheduled from 4 to 5 Nov 25, will be organized by the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA).”
PIMEC was first launched in 2023 under the patronage of Pakistan Navy, and managed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. The goal of this event is to attract investment in the country’s maritime sector and capitalize upon blue economy potential in a sustainable way.
