Pakistan’s First Lady Visits Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood of UAE

Abu Dhabi (TDI): Pakistan’s First Lady, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari visited the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where she was received by the Secretary-General of the Council, Rym bint Abdullah Al Falasy.

The First Lady commended the Council’s contributions to advancing the care, safety, and well-being of mothers and children.

She highlighted the Council’s initiatives across health, education, and culture, noting its leadership in developing child empowerment and protection frameworks, inclusive programs for children of determination, and comprehensive maternal health services both within the UAE and internationally.

She was also briefed on the Children’s Parliament, launched in 2020 in partnership with the Federal National Council, as well as on broader initiatives aimed at amplifying young voices through platforms such as the Children’s Advisory Council.

The First Lady described these efforts as inspiring examples of meaningful engagement. She paid tribute to the lifelong dedication of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak to women’s empowerment, adding that her visionary leadership continues to inspire generations and strengthen initiatives that support families, mothers, and children.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak is a prominent figure in the United Arab Emirates who is also known as the “Mother of the Nation” for her work in child welfare, women’s rights, and humanitarian causes.
