Dubai (TDI): Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, visited a Ramadan Iftar tent organized by Vista Maritime Travel and Tourism at Port Rashid, where hundreds of people are being served free Iftar meals daily during the holy month.
The community initiative, now in its third consecutive year, reflects the spirit of generosity and compassion that characterizes Ramadan.
Organized by Vista Maritime Travel and Tourism, a Pakistani business group operating in the UAE, the Iftar tent provides meals to workers, travelers, and residents who gather each evening to break their fast.
During his visit, Ambassador Khan distributed food boxes among attendees and interacted warmly with those present at the tent.

He spent time speaking with visitors, joined participants in collective prayers (Dua), and shared the Iftar meal with them, highlighting the importance of solidarity and service during Ramadan.
The ambassador praised the efforts of Dr. Zafar Tahir Rizvi, Chief Executive Officer of Vista Maritime Travel and Tourism, along with the company’s management, for spearheading the initiative.
He described the Iftar tent as a commendable example of how Pakistani businesses abroad can contribute meaningfully to social welfare and community engagement.
Ambassador Khan noted that such initiatives strengthen community bonds and demonstrate the positive role played by the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE.
