This three day showcase is a symbol of the country’s agricultural heritage and an effort to take the local culture and local produce abroad. Gulf countries, being the major exporters of Pakistani mangoes, are very welcoming towards such events.
Pakistan is the world’s leading producer and exporter of the sweetest mangoes; locally called the “King of Fruits”. These mangoes are known for their taste, aroma and juiciness.
With over 250 varieties produced across the country, a total of seventy nine countries import Pakistani mangoes, with significant demand in the Gulf, Middle East, Europe, and North America.

For foreign diplomatic missions in Islamabad, the Foreign Office held an elaborate festival at Serena Hotel earlier this month, where a rich assortment of mango varieties and local desserts made with mangoes were displayed.
All members of the diplomatic corps were invited to enjoy and celebrate delicious mangoes, while also promoting cultural diplomacy.
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, talking to the guests, praised the mangoes saying, “Pakistan’s mangoes are among the finest in the world. Through this festival, we aim to share a cherished part of our culture with our friends in the diplomatic community.”
