Pak Embassy Hosts Oman Trade Expo

-

Muscat (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat, Oman, on Sunday hosted the first-ever multi-sectoral Pakistan-Oman Trade Expo and Business Conference, a two-day event aimed at strengthening trade ties between the two nations.

The expo was attended by prominent figures including Sayyid Juland Bin Jaifar Al Said, Chairman of the Pakistan-Oman Investment Company, Sayyida Hujaija Bint Jaifar Al Said, International Ambassador for Social Responsibility, Faisal Bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Imran Ali Chaudhry.

The event also saw the participation of 172 business delegates from top Pakistani companies, showcasing products across 10 sectors, including textiles, agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, and sports goods.

The exhibition offers a platform for Pakistani businesses to present their high-quality products to the Omani market, as well as explore investment opportunities in Oman.

The expo is expected to facilitate direct interactions between Omani and Pakistani businesses, fostering partnerships and collaborations for the future.

Speakers highlighted that while Pakistan and Oman share cordial relations, the current trade volume does not reflect the full potential of economic cooperation between the two countries.

As Oman seeks to diversify its economy beyond oil, and Pakistan looks to expand its export base, both nations see significant room for growth in trade.
