Buenos Aires (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Buenos Aires organized a lavish reception to honor Pakistan’s 86th National Day. Over 150 eminent guests, including ambassadors, senior government officials, private sector members, academia, and media representatives attended the event.
Pakistan Ambassador to Argentina, Ambassador Hassan Afzal Khan, highlighted the growing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Argentina.
He welcomed the audience at the reception and emphasized Pakistan and Argentina’s long-standing and strong bilateral relations in his keynote speech.
He also highlighted the enormous potential for expanding partnerships in various areas, including trade, culture, and education. The Ambassador conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistani community in Argentina on the 86th National Day of Pakistan, which was observed on March 23rd.
Moreover, the Ambassador recognized and commended the achievements of the Pakistani diaspora in Argentina, applauding their role as cultural ambassadors, and appreciating their efforts in strengthening people-to-people diplomacy.
The event featured a wonderful exhibition of Pakistani products, highlighting the country’s rich and diverse craftsmanship. The items on display included Pakistan’s world-renowned sports goods and clothing, traditional rugs, Himalayan salt lamps, intricately crafted handicrafts, and premium agricultural products such as pink salt and Basmati rice.
The guests expressed their admiration for the exhibition, which gave a glimpse inside Pakistan’s flourishing export economy.
At the reception, the guests also enjoyed rich traditional Pakistani food, including traditional dishes like Biryani, chicken curry, and lamb kebabs, which provided a gastronomic tour of Pakistan’s rich culinary history.

The event not only emphasized Pakistan’s national unique traditions and culture but also provided an opportunity to strengthen Pakistan-Argentina friendship and collaboration.
The reception concluded on an optimistic note for future bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The guests also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to experience Pakistan’s culture and cuisine.
The National Day celebrations have been ongoing since the last month as Pakistan celebrates 23rd March each year commemorating the Pakistan Resolution which was signed in 1940 and was the first official roadmap of the country’s independence.
