Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, conferred civil awards on two Chinese nationals, on behalf of President of Pakistan. The ceremony took place in Islamabad as the Ambassador was in country to take part in Health, Engineering and Minerals Show (HEMS) 2025.
The recipients of the awards were Fu Zhiheng, President of China Great Wall Industry Corporation, and Zhang Baozhong, former CEO of China Overseas Port Holding Company. They were honored for their role in Pak-China friendship and “practical cooperation in key areas of Pakistan’s socioeconomic development.”
Fu Zhiheng was awarded the Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam-Crescent of the Great Leader while Zhang Baozhong received Tamgha-i-Quaid-i-Azam-Medal of the Great Leader.

Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador Hashmi noted that country to country partnerships are cemented by people who associate themselves with a mission bigger than them.
“Mr. Fu Zhiheng and Mr. Zhang Baozhong exemplify such service to Pakistan-China ties,” the Ambassador added.
Earlier, Ambassador Hashmi took part in the B2B networking event which was organized on the sides of HEMS 2025. The Show attracted around 200 Chinese companies – “the largest single-country contingent.” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also delivered a keynote address at HEMS, Lahore.
Addressing the participants at the networking event, Ambassador Hashmi reviewed the progress so far in the six B2B roadshows between China and Pakistan and showed enthusiasm for another eight shows planned for the ongoing year.
He also “commended HRL Group for its proactive B2B engagement with Chinese enterprises through joint ventures and appreciated its partnership with the Embassy to host the B2B networking lunch on the sidelines of HEMS.”
