Dubai (TDI): Pakistan’s Consul General Hussain Muhammad on Wednesday participated in the inaugural ceremony of the Arab Classic Dubai-2024 baseball tournament at the Dubai Sports Council.
The event, which marks a significant step in the region’s growing interest in baseball, was attended by prominent figures including Kash Shaikh, Chairman and CEO of Baseball United, as well as renowned baseball players and partners.
The Arab Classic Dubai-2024, running from November 7 to 10, features participation from Pakistan’s baseball national team alongside teams from 8 other nations, highlighting regional talent.
Pakistan is set to face India on Friday.
In his remarks, the Consul General expressed excitement about Pakistan’s involvement in promoting baseball in the Middle East and emphasized the event’s potential to strengthen people-to-people ties between the countries.

The 2024 Arab Classic Baseball tournament is set to feature national teams from nine nations, including Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The competition aims to be one of the largest and most competitive baseball national team tournaments in the region, drawing attention to the growing interest in baseball across the Arab world.
