Islamabad (TDI): From May 25-30, 2025 representatives of Vitebsk State Medical University and Gomel State Medical University, Belarus visited Pakistan to enhance cooperation in the field of education.
The participants of the Belarusian delegation visited a number of public educational institutions and other organizations in Pakistan, where they presented their respective universities during conferences and other events.
During the visit, meetings were also held with Pakistani partners on increasing the number of Pakistani students studying in higher educational institutions in Belarus.
Agreements have been reached at for further systematic work to expand cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan in the field of education.

Earlier this month, the Minister of Defense of Belarus, Lt General Viktor Khrenin, undertook an official visit to Pakistan and held comprehensive meeting with Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif. The visit marked a significant step in advancing defense diplomacy and mutual cooperation between the two friendly nations.
During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on matters of bilateral interest, including regional security, defense collaboration, and joint initiatives in defense production and technology transfer.
Emphasis was placed on enhancing the institutional framework for regular strategic dialogue and technical cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
General Viktor reaffirmed Belarus’s full support for Pakistan’s policy of peace, stability, and mutual respect, and appreciated Pakistan’s role as a responsible nation committed to maintaining regional harmony.
