Islamabad (TDI): The Pakistan–Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG), chaired by MNA Natasha Daultana, held its inaugural briefing session at the Parliament House on Wednesday, with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus, Muhemmed Aejaz, joining virtually.
Convener Natasha Daultana welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of maintaining structured and continuous engagement with Belarus. She highlighted the role of sustained parliamentary interactions in enhancing bilateral relations through a coordinated approach.
Ambassador Muhemmed Aejaz briefed the Group on the marked improvement in Pakistan–Belarus bilateral relations over the past year, reflecting enhanced diplomatic engagement and tangible progress in the areas of trade, industry and government-to-government cooperation.

The envoy also drew attention to matters concerning labour mobility, regional connectivity challenges and the growing scope for industrial and technical collaboration between the two countries.
Members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group exchanged views on avenues for enhanced cooperation in education, academic exchanges, scholarships, business-to-business linkages and opportunities in agriculture, machinery and smart technologies.

The Members also underscored the importance of strengthening people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and Belarus.
In her concluding remarks, the Convener reaffirmed the Group’s strong commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties with Belarus through sustained follow-up, improved coordination with relevant ministries and proactive parliamentary diplomacy.
The meeting was attended by Members of the Pakistan–Belarus PFG including, Mohammad Usman Badini, Kiran Imran Dar, Ali Jan Mazari, Abdul Ale.
