ISLAMABAD, (TDI): The Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Wada Mitsuhiro, paid a farewell visit to the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the meeting, he was received by Secretary of the SIFC Division, Jamil Qureshi, who commended Ambassador Wada for his invaluable contributions to fostering economic collaboration and investment opportunities between Japan and Pakistan throughout his tenure.
The event was attended by Mr. Kawamura Kenta, Economic and Development Counsellor, Mr. Hashimoto Hiroshi, First Secretary of the Embassy, and the SIFC Investment Promotion team.
They highlighted Ambassador Wada’s pivotal role in enhancing bilateral trade and investment, facilitating Japanese investors in key sectors of Pakistan, and promoting joint ventures that strengthen economic ties between the two nations.

In his remarks, Secretary Jamil Qureshi expressed gratitude on behalf of SIFC and the Government of Pakistan for Ambassador Wada’s dedicated efforts to bolster Pakistan-Japan relations. He praised the ambassador’s unwavering commitment to enhancing bilateral trade, mutual investment, and cooperation in technology and development initiatives.

Ambassador Wada acknowledged the SIFC’s ongoing efforts to improve the business environment in Pakistan and appreciated the support provided to new Japanese investments and existing Japanese companies operating in the country.
